I en beläring varför det är viktigt att bevara den tibetanska buddhistiska kulturen säger Khenpo Pema Wangdak, som bor i New York, USA, bland annat följande i ett videoinslag från youtubekanalen Embodied Philosophy:
”Our human concern cannot be complete if it is exclusive of itself. In other words, if it excludes other matters that are connected to us, meaning that everything …this culture is based on, Buddhas teaching, is fundamentally based on the concept, the point of view called interdependence, dependent origination in a philosophical sense”. (Khenpo Pema Wangdak, källa se nedan och en korrekt transkription)
Khenpo Pema continues and says that
”Meaning there is no one singular time, place, thing or idea or soul or consciousness but there is some totality in the sense that it is beyond singularity or plurality.”
He further explains that it is the complete in the sense everything that we as ordinary human beings can sense, can measure, recognize indirect and feel or be conscious about has to be dependent on everything else; dependent on something else, on something else, connected to something else, which in turn is connected to something else, to some other thing. That kind of philosophy or conception is what Buddhas teaching is based on, emphazises Khenpo Pema Wangdak.
